Michael James Scott has played the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin internationally including on Broadway, in London, on the North American Tour, and originating the role in the Australian Production, for which he won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
He’s also known for originating the role of the Minstrel on Broadway in Something Rotten! and originating Dr. Gotswana (aka The Maggots Guy) in The Book of Mormon. Other Broadway credits include: Hair, Tarzan, Mamma Mia, Elf, and All Shook Up. New York: Jerry Springer the Opera at Carnegie Hall. Tours: Fosse. Las Vegas: Jersey Boys. He is featured on various recordings including The Broadway Boys and Broadway original cast albums, along with numerous TV appearances.

This exceptional concert is designed to raise awareness and funds for the Arts For Autism Community. Envision yourself immersed in the creative process—learning choreography, developing your vocals, and rehearsing alongside skilled Broadway performers who bring their passion and experience to the stage.
ABOUT ARTS FOR AUTISM
Arts for Autism is a one-night annual Broadway benefit concert where the biggest names on Broadway join performing arts students from around the country at a premier New York City theatre venue. Together we perform, spread acceptance, and inspire compassion, kindness, and understanding for those impacted by autism. We hope you'll join us for this evening celebrating hope and new beginnings as we look forward to a brighter future for all.
We embrace a judgment-free and inclusive environment for patrons with a wide range of sensory and/or communication differences, including individuals on the autism spectrum, young children, and families who would benefit from a relaxed theatre experience. Sensory-friendly space will be available in the theatre lobby during the performance should attendees need a break.

THE EXPERIENCE
AXS Broadway provides aspiring artists the opportunity to experience the performance and technical aspects of a “real world” musical theatre production in a Broadway Theatre. Industry Professionals provide education and valuable feedback throughout this experience to provide true insights into the world of the professional musical theatre industry in New York City.
Performers get to work with award-winning producers, directors, and choreographers from Industry AXS in addition to getting performance feedback and inspiration from our Broadway Show Production team in New York City.
This opportunity allows you to perform on stage with some of the top Broadway performers in the industry in addition to a union orchestra led by Broadway directors, music supervisors, and production crews who have successfully made the theatre their career.

Performers can be selected by personal invitation by our Adams Davy Talent Division and/or online application/audition submission. We also scout talent during dance intensives & competitions, High School and collegiate Thespian events, and musical theatre and vocal performances throughout the county.

This opportunity is best suited for performers 12-20 years old and who have intermediate to advanced performance skills in voice, acting and dance.

The Adams Davy AXS: Broadway Experience cast consists of 25-35 performers.
The entire cast of the Arts For Autism show reaches numbers close to 200!

The Adams Davy AXS: Broadway Experience cast will perform in the Opening and Closing numbers with the entire Arts for Autism Cast in addition to a featured performance where we perform a 5-7 minute Broadway Show medley with a working Broadway performer joining us on stage during this performance.

Yes, as this is a musical theatre performance opportunity all cast members will be asked to sing and dance during our performance medley.

No, we accept candidates from all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico! Since we rehearse in the host city, anyone from across the country is welcome to audition for this opportunity.

The Itinerary does include a Broadway show, but free time for additional activities is limited. This program aims to maintain low costs while providing high-quality experiences, resulting in an intensive schedule. Attendees are encouraged to prioritize rest and recovery whenever feasible to make the most of their time with us.
We suggest extending your trip after the performance to participate in activities you with to pursue.
